The first week at Cannes: Women on the red carpet, from Cate Blanchett to tops models

The first week of the 71st Cannes Film Festival has drawn to a close with as many stars and as much glamour as ever. An elegance worn by a jury composed of lots of women and notably by the President, Cate Blanchett, who appeared several times in Armani Privé, loyal to the house for whom she is a muse, but the actress also dared a rainbow couture sheath dress by Givenchy and even appeared in an astonishing red dress by Mary Katrantzou, designed especially for the occasion and which took 6 months of work to create, with the embroidery stitched entirely by hand. A special mention as well to Léa Seydoux, jury member, who went short for the red carpet in Louis Vuitton. Another short outfit that worked well was the Saint Laurent dress worn by Chiara Mastroainni. The house also dressed Isabelle Huppert who even chose to climb the steps with Creative Director, Anthony Vaccerello. A focus on the Chanel dresses which were all worn very differently, notably by Penelope Cruz during the opening ceremony, or somber and chic by Chloé Sévigny, but also romantically by Marion Cotillard and even in a more protective way with a glittering armour-style look by Kristen Stewart. The house of Dior was also showcased with class by two of its muses, Eva Herzigova and Bella Hadid. Many top models came to make the red-carpet cameras flash.Music royalty free / Bandit & Nikit / 2018
