Coach : collection spring summer 2017 in New York

Designer : Stuart Vevers Atmosphere : the mise en scène of the week. Old American cars piled up, a dusty floor, America with its pop culture and a nod to one of its heroes, Elvis Presley. Silhouette : Rock, punk, young, stylish, rebellious. The jacket, the biker jacket completely revisited, with fringes, studs, embroideries, all done by hand, worn on totally transparent romantic dresses. Focus on : the details like the sweatshirt with the photo of Elvis, the shark jumper, creepers revisited with big studded soles. To note : the little bags all worked differently & the release on the day of the show of the new fragrance by Coach. Interview with Stuart Vevers: I think part of fashion is to dream, and this is my opportunity to talk about what I’m feeling right now and the new season, and you know, hopefully inspire people. I love American pop culture and you couldn’t get more iconic than Elvis and I love the idea that the Coach gang this season, they’re like huge Elvis fans ! Coach is about challenging our preconceptions of what craftsmanship is. I want craftsmanship at coach to have attitude and be youthful… it’s not about things feeling perfect or too precious it’s about attitude and something different, something surprising, and that’s what I’m excited about doing at Coach.
