Tod's - Women's Spring/Summer 2019 Collection in Milan (with interviews)

The fashion house Tod’s continues its strategic evolution putting energy into its collections, highlighting their Italian know-how and quality, as well as renewing their products every month.Leather is at the heart of this collection and is treated with suppleness and elegance.Trench dresses are sensual, wrap skirts are divine, shorts are extremely short and shirts are worn like a second skin with raised sleeves. Colours are soft and deep. Stripes, reptile skins and star patterns bring character and desire to the collection.Focus on scarfs tied around the neck and fringed flat shoes.Note: Male models wearing supple costumes and the presence of the French actor Pierre Niney in the front row.Interview with Diego della Valle:We want to remain one of the best and the most reputational luxury companies in people’s lives especially the Italians. And the same time now, we have a big laboratory for creativity, for image for communication that choses what we change a lot. Now everything is quick, fast, people want new products every 2-3 months and our new organization is doing this.I think the quality, the taste remains. We need to watch the young generation very well without destroying the reputation of our very very old and important company in lifestyle and quality. Iconic in movement.Interview with Pierre Niney:I find the idea of true craftsmanship, a true sense of perfection and of work well done. I know this is held mostly in the heart of the brand produced in Italy, with products that they know very well and with very qualified skilled artisans, and I think this is represented in what we see. There is a small side to this collection where we are taken back in time, with films from the 70s, however we also see something modern and simple as well.Music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
